Being blasé and so heartless..

Why are we so blasé today? Everyone of us. This whole pathetic generation of ours. The first doubt we ask after seeing Auswitchz photographs is about the veracity of the incident itself. Then we ponder over the scientific achievements that the genocide affected.

And then, we eagerly lap up stupid Feng Shui Crap without as much a voice of curious doubt. No voice of reason, but only senseless submission. The examples are endless. I thought, MICA of all places, would have people harbouring some kind of stupid dreams and passions. But the tragedies continue here as well, we all are very 'rational' creatures. We don't like to 'believe' in anything that demands thinking and individuality.

I wonder why are we so conformist towards certain issues, that need to be challenged before they establish themselves into mainstream. Why are we always in a third person mode, dissecting issues as if they don't affect us and negating the very act of questioning with utmost zeal. We just don't want to be responsible for anything.

Why cant we empathize. Why dissect issues without passion, and least reason. Why are we proud to be ignorant? This really pisses me off. We firstly took the joke far with the 'genocidal quotient'. If you don't know shit, then you listen. Not crib about the other being too bombastic. Then about the comm. Studies classes.. The issues Matthew sir discussed were so pertinent and relevant. Here too, we just don't want to listen.

We need to change. We need a change.

Why I repair my shoe

I have 3 shoes. One formal, One sport shoe and another a mix of the two. The last one is particularly awesome, cause of its uniqueness. It looks like a formal shoe, but is as comfortable and flexible as a sport shoe. I bought it for my first job in Mumbai. I was newly rich and was expected to behave like one. I found this gem of pure black leather in a Colaba Causeway showroom. Quite a find. But its been almost two years now and the shoe shows its age. For all its awesomeness, its quite a weak shoe, to give out so early. I have stitched it, got new laces, and strengthened its sole. It doesn't look shiny anymore cause the leather has suffered from a few hostile trespasses. I think, like a man, things too should be allowed to carry their scars. Shiny scar-less men are just so... irrelevant.  Since childhood, I have been used to using things for long times. new pov

i am in dire need of a new thought structure, a new point of view, a new way to look at things around me. I have been through quite a few such iterations. The first prism that I looked through during my school days was pure science. Tales of great discoveries and inventions greatly affected me and instilled in me a hunger that still burns in me, for constant search of new genius, of new things, of inventions of my own, of constantly seeking alternate views, of being the first in the world at something.
