Walking in midnight

Ah. I so wish to walk the midnight streets of Paris. Woody Allen keeps on making these lovely films filled with so much 'romance' of life, and no matter what you do, you can't escape. you will fall shamelessly in love with his movies.
I just saw his 'Midnight in Paris' and feel like booking a ticket to Paris and walk those streets. Well, it happened to me earlier with 'Before Sunrise' as well. anyways. If I were in Nasik or even Mumbai, I would have stepped out and went for a walk now. its 11 pm now. it won't have been a big deal. But unfortunately I am in Gurgaon now. and its foolish to be not inside home/ car  at this hour in the national capital region.Anyways.. (ya, its annoying i can imagine to keep on reading 'anyways' again and again, but ... anyways)

'Dali!' , 'Bunuel.'. Ah, how i would love to meet them. and Gil does. lucky bugger. :P

and hands of men so easily rest on women's back, it was magical. :)

One translates an experience with what one is familiar with. If it was to be drank, it cannot be any of the alcohol sold in Gurgaon thekas... perhaps some good port wine from Nasik's wineries or some good kahwaa on Dal lake or that particular Gin cocktail made by that Australian guy in 4th July restaurant in Jaisalmer.
Or perhaps it could be translated to 'dos gardenias' by Buena Vista.. slow and intimate, happy and unhurriedly energetic.

and Paris has so much of open spaces right in the city. It would be so lovely to have that in the city one lives in and have a thriving culture in that space, a space free from usurpers and greed.. a space where the notion of ownership is absent, where people come and go and in between smile and color the time in many lovely colors. Like the charwahas (nomads who graze sheep) pass through the lovely valleys in Kashmir and gift the valley an essential warmth, so should there be wide open centres in all cities where everyone transforms into nomads out to share some warm happiness.

I am not much of a creature of nostalgia, but well, I do dip into the beautiful pool of romanticism from time to time, and this was one happy dip.
